Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a company van for local and regional deliveries/transportation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Ensure the secure loading, unloading, and proper handling of goods or passengers.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and manifest documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized, both interior and exterior.
- Adapt to schedule changes and route adjustments as needed to meet operational demands.
- Provide friendly and professional service to all clients and passengers.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 1 year (12 months) of professional driving experience.
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 lbs (if applicable to cargo).
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of local Emporia, Kansas roads and surrounding areas.
- Punctual and reliable.
Preferred Qualifications
