Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport a variety of goods to designated locations within Liverpool and surrounding areas.
- Perform daily vehicle checks (pre- and post-trip inspections) to ensure the van is in optimal working condition and report any defects promptly.
- Accurately load, unload, and secure goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transit.
- Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including proof of delivery, mileage logs, and fuel consumption.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers to ensure smooth delivery operations and resolve any issues.
- Plan and optimize daily routes to ensure timely deliveries and maximize efficiency.
- Represent Career.zycto professionally and courteously to all clients and the public.
- Manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules and deadlines.
- Assist with warehouse duties, such as picking and packing, when required.
Required Skills
- Full UK Driving Licence (Category B) with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Proven experience as a van driver, preferably in a multi-drop delivery environment.
- Excellent knowledge of Liverpool and surrounding road networks.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with handheld delivery devices or logistics software.
- Advanced driving qualifications or defensive driving course certification.
- Customer service experience in a delivery context.
