Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company van to deliver and collect goods to and from various locations within Aberdeen and surrounding areas.
- Adhere strictly to all road traffic regulations, company driving policies, and health & safety procedures.
- Conduct pre-shift vehicle checks, ensuring the van is in good working condition, reporting any defects promptly.
- Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring secure transportation and preventing damage.
- Verify accuracy of goods against delivery notes, obtain necessary signatures, and manage delivery paperwork efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing Career.zycto professionally.
- Manage delivery schedules and routes effectively to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the assigned company vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with the logistics team regarding any delays, issues, or feedback from customers.
- Assist with warehouse duties, including picking, packing, and sorting goods, when required.
Required Skills
- Full UK driving license (Category B) with no more than 3 penalty points.
- Proven experience as a Van Driver or similar delivery role.
- Excellent knowledge of Aberdeen and surrounding local road networks.
- Strong geographical awareness and ability to plan efficient routes.
- Ability to safely lift and carry packages, and comfortable with physical aspects of loading/unloading.
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with a multi-drop delivery route.
- Knowledge of digital delivery systems or handheld scanners.
- First Aid certification.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
