Career.zycto is actively seeking a reliable and motivated Van Driver to join our dedicated local transport and logistics team in Garthdee, Aberdeen. This pivotal role involves the safe and efficient delivery and collection of goods across Aberdeen and its surrounding regions, ensuring our clients receive exceptional service. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a company van to deliver and collect goods to and from various locations within Aberdeen and surrounding areas.
  • Adhere strictly to all road traffic regulations, company driving policies, and health & safety procedures.
  • Conduct pre-shift vehicle checks, ensuring the van is in good working condition, reporting any defects promptly.
  • Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring secure transportation and preventing damage.
  • Verify accuracy of goods against delivery notes, obtain necessary signatures, and manage delivery paperwork efficiently.
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing Career.zycto professionally.
  • Manage delivery schedules and routes effectively to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the assigned company vehicle.
  • Communicate effectively with the logistics team regarding any delays, issues, or feedback from customers.
  • Assist with warehouse duties, including picking, packing, and sorting goods, when required.

Required Skills

  • Full UK driving license (Category B) with no more than 3 penalty points.
  • Proven experience as a Van Driver or similar delivery role.
  • Excellent knowledge of Aberdeen and surrounding local road networks.
  • Strong geographical awareness and ability to plan efficient routes.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry packages, and comfortable with physical aspects of loading/unloading.
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with a multi-drop delivery route.
  • Knowledge of digital delivery systems or handheld scanners.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
