Job Description

Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly skilled and strategic Vendor Manager to join our operations team in Frankfurt am Main. In this critical full-time role, you will be instrumental in overseeing the entire lifecycle of our vendor relationships, ensuring optimal performance, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with our business objectives. This isn’t just about managing contracts; it’s about building robust, mutually beneficial partnerships that contribute directly to our strategic goals and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, onboarding, and continually monitoring third-party vendors, primarily focusing on services related to recruitment tools, HR technologies, consulting services, and various operational support functions.

Your day-to-day will involve negotiating agreements, monitoring service level agreements (SLAs), resolving issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives with our key suppliers. We expect you to bring a proactive approach to vendor management, identifying opportunities for optimization, risk mitigation, and value creation. This position requires a keen eye for detail, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to foster strong, collaborative relationships both internally with stakeholders and externally with vendors. You will act as the primary point of contact for vendor-related matters, ensuring seamless communication and adherence to our high standards of quality and compliance. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic vendor management programs and policies aligned with company goals.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select new vendors, conducting due diligence and risk assessments.
  • Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs) to secure advantageous deals.
  • Manage the full vendor lifecycle, including onboarding, performance monitoring, and offboarding.
  • Conduct regular vendor performance reviews, analyze data, and provide feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor-related issues, disputes, and escalations, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, finance, and operational teams to ensure compliance and effective vendor integration.
  • Monitor market trends and industry best practices to identify innovative solutions and potential new partners.
  • Manage vendor budgets, track expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of vendor contracts, agreements, and performance records.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain management.
  • Proven track record of successful contract negotiation and management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in contract law principles and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS).
  • Experience with e-procurement platforms and vendor management software.
  • Familiarity with the recruitment or HR technology industry.
  • Fluency in German (written and spoken).
