Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly strategic and results-oriented Vendor Manager to join our growing team in Halle (Saale), Saxony-Anhalt. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive vendor management strategies to optimize costs and service quality.
  • Lead the negotiation of contracts, terms, and service level agreements (SLAs) with new and existing vendors.
  • Monitor vendor performance against agreed-upon KPIs and SLAs, conducting regular business reviews and audits.
  • Identify and mitigate risks within the vendor supply chain, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., legal, finance, operations) to align vendor capabilities with business needs and project timelines.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives with vendors, fostering innovation, efficiency, and shared growth opportunities.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of vendor relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for strategic partners.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on vendor performance, market trends, and potential cost savings or value-add opportunities to senior leadership.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (4+ years) in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain roles.
  • Strong negotiation and complex contract management skills with a track record of achieving favorable outcomes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and advanced MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, nurture, and maintain strong, strategic vendor relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle Procurement).
  • Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPSM, CIPS).
  • Fluency in German and English (oral and written) for effective communication with local and international partners.
  • Experience in the e-commerce, technology, or a similarly fast-evolving sector.
