Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Part-Time Vet Nurse to join a thriving veterinary practice in the picturesque coastal town of Warnemünde, Rostock, through Career.zycto. Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, consultations, treatments, and surgical procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
- Monitor patients during anesthesia and recovery, recording vital signs.
- Perform basic laboratory procedures, including blood draws, urinalysis, and fecal analysis.
- Prepare surgical suites and instruments, ensuring sterilization and cleanliness.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
- Educate pet owners on preventative care, nutrition, medication administration, and post-operative instructions.
- Provide empathetic support to clients, especially during sensitive situations.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
- Ensure the clinic environment remains clean, organized, and safe for patients, clients, and staff.
- Handle and restrain animals safely and humanely.
Required Skills
- Certified Veterinary Nurse (or equivalent recognized qualification)
- Proven experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting
- Proficiency in animal handling and restraint techniques
- Strong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology, procedures, and pharmacology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform basic laboratory tests
- Competence in maintaining sterile environments and assisting in surgery

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Fluency in German (required for client communication in Germany)
