Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures.
- Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately for various procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of examination rooms, surgical suites, and kennels.
- Prepare laboratory samples and assist with diagnostic imaging.
- Dispense medications under direct supervision and ensure proper record-keeping.
- Provide compassionate care for hospitalized animals, including feeding and monitoring.
- Educate clients on basic pet care, post-procedure instructions, and preventive health.
- Manage client check-ins, answer phones, and assist with general administrative tasks.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Profound compassion and empathy for animals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
