Job Description
Are you a creative individual with a passion for video production and a keen eye for detail? Cervejas de Moçambique is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Video Production Assistant to join our marketing and communications team in Nicoadala. This role offers flexible hours, making it ideal for someone looking to blend their creative skills with a dynamic work schedule. You will play a crucial role in supporting the creation of engaging video content for various platforms, including social media campaigns, internal communications, brand promotions, and community initiatives. From concept to post-production, you will assist our lead producers in bringing our brand stories to life, ensuring high-quality visual narratives that resonate with our audience. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in all phases of video production, including pre-production (planning, logistics, script support), production (on-set setup, lighting, audio, camera operation), and post-production (editing support, archiving).
- Support the lead producer and videographer during shoots, ensuring equipment is ready, scenes are prepared, and talent is guided.
- Operate cameras, sound equipment, and lighting gear as directed, ensuring technical quality and creative vision are met.
- Organize and manage video assets, including footage, audio files, graphics, and project files, maintaining a well-structured digital archive.
- Perform basic video editing, color correction, sound mixing, and graphic integration under supervision.
- Conduct research for video concepts, locations, music, and visual styles to support creative development.
- Assist with equipment maintenance, ensuring all gear is in good working order and properly stored.
- Provide administrative support for video projects, including scheduling, coordination with internal departments, and external vendors.
- Stay updated with industry trends, production techniques, and software advancements to contribute fresh ideas to the team.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in basic video camera operation and understanding of fundamental lighting and audio principles.
- Familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, especially in asset management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a team.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends based on production schedules.
- Demonstrated passion for video storytelling and visual content creation.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Film Production, Media Arts, Communications, or a related field.
- Prior experience (even voluntary or academic) in a video production environment.
- Knowledge of motion graphics (e.g., After Effects) and graphic design (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various shoot locations within Zambezia Province.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English.
