Digicel Jamaica is seeking a talented and energetic Video Production Assistant to join our dynamic marketing and communications team in Linstead, St. Catherine. As a Video Production Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our video production efforts from concept to completion. Key Responsibilities
- Assist producers and videographers with all aspects of video production, from pre-production planning to post-production delivery.
- Prepare and set up production equipment including cameras, lighting, sound gear, and teleprompters.
- Operate cameras, provide audio recording support, and manage lighting setups during shoots.
- Assist with data wrangling, organizing, and archiving footage and other digital assets.
- Perform basic video editing, color correction, and sound mixing as directed.
- Conduct research for video content, scripts, and visual references.
- Coordinate shoot logistics, including scheduling, location scouting, and talent coordination.
- Maintain and inventory production equipment, ensuring it is in excellent working condition.
- Provide administrative support to the production team as needed.
- Contribute creative ideas during brainstorming sessions for new video projects.
Required Skills
- Proven experience assisting on video production sets or similar media projects.
- Proficiency with video production equipment, including cameras (DSLR/mirrorless), lenses, lighting, and audio recording devices.
- Basic knowledge of video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A keen eye for detail and a strong visual aesthetic.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including occasional evenings or weekends, as production schedules demand.
Preferred Qualifications
