Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of camera, lighting, and audio equipment on various production sets, both in-studio and on location.
- Provide invaluable on-set support to the production crew, including managing props, talent wrangling, ensuring proper shot execution, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
- Manage and organize all production assets, including footage, audio files, graphics, and project files, ensuring proper naming conventions and archiving for easy retrieval.
- Coordinate logistics for shoots, such as scheduling, booking locations, arranging travel, and managing catering, to ensure seamless operations.
- Conduct preliminary research for projects, source visual and audio assets, and assist with script development or shot list preparation as required.
- Perform basic video editing tasks, including footage logging, syncing audio, creating rough cuts, and preparing projects for lead editors.
- Oversee equipment maintenance, inventory, and ensure all gear is in excellent working condition and readily available for upcoming projects.
- Act as a reliable point of contact for external vendors, freelancers, and clients, coordinating communication and ensuring all parties are aligned.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including expense reporting, invoice processing, and maintaining accurate production records.
- Contribute creative ideas during brainstorming sessions and provide constructive feedback to continuously improve our production quality and workflow.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and company guidelines during all production activities.
- Be proactive in identifying potential issues and proposing solutions to maintain project timelines and budgets.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with professional video cameras (DSLR, Mirrorless, Cinema Cameras) and related accessories.
- Basic understanding of lighting techniques for various shoot scenarios (studio, on-location, interviews).
- Familiarity with audio recording equipment and techniques (lav mics, boom mics, field recorders).
- Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro for basic editing and footage management.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of working well within a team.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment.
- Proactive problem-solver with a keen eye for detail and commitment to quality.
- Valid UAE driving license and ability to travel to various shoot locations within Dubai.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Film Production, Media Studies, Broadcast Journalism, or a related creative field.
- A compelling portfolio showcasing previous video projects or production work, even from academic or personal initiatives.
- Proficiency in other Adobe Creative Suite applications, particularly After Effects (motion graphics) and Photoshop (graphics preparation).
- Experience with drone operation and aerial videography (with relevant licenses, if applicable).
- Fluency in Arabic is considered a significant advantage in the local market.
