Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables with a friendly demeanour.
- Present menus, provide detailed information on specials, ingredients, and daily promotions.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using our point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, ensuring presentation standards are met.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests, complaints, and queries to ensure satisfaction.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, process bills, and manage change.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, ensuring tables are set correctly.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless and efficient service.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including strict food hygiene standards.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required, including setup and breakdown.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a bistro or restaurant setting (minimum 1 year).
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills with a welcoming attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and active listening abilities to understand guest needs.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.
- Basic math skills and experience with modern POS systems for order processing.
- A consistently positive attitude and a strong team-player mentality.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Food and Beverage Service.
