Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Waiter to join the vibrant team at one of our prestigious restaurant and lounge partners located in the heart of Longsight, Manchester. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and seat guests, presenting menus and explaining daily specials with confidence.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems and relaying specific requests or dietary requirements to the kitchen.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, ensuring correct presentation and temperature.
- Monitor guest satisfaction, anticipating needs and proactively responding to requests or concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting dining area, including table setting, clearing, and sanitization.
- Handle cash and card payments accurately, processing transactions and providing correct change.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, bar staff, and other front-of-house team members to ensure smooth service.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down the dining area.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and wine pairings.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a restaurant or lounge setting.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service, including different types of cuisine and drinks.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
