Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, seat them, and present menus.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately, using our point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Provide detailed information about menu items, daily specials, and recommendations when requested.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently to customers.
- Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction and respond promptly to any requests or concerns.
- Handle guest payments accurately, process cash, card, and mobile money transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down dining areas for service.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Resolve customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
- Upsell menu items and promote daily specials to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
- Handle cash and card payments with integrity and accuracy, ensuring proper closing of checks.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Waiter/Waitress or in a similar customer service role (at least 6 months).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to interact positively with diverse guests.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure gracefully.
- Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions and calculating bills.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
- Team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- High level of integrity and honesty in handling payments.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience with POS systems.
