Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Present menus, explain daily specials, and offer recommendations.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently to guests.
- Ensure guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, proactively addressing any concerns.
- Clear and reset tables according to established standards.
- Handle cash and card payments accurately and process transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including sidestations and service areas.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a waitress or server in a restaurant setting (minimum 6 months)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- A positive attitude and a team-player mentality
- Basic math skills for handling transactions
- Fluency in English and Swahili
Preferred Qualifications
