Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet guests upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
  • Present menus, explain daily specials, and offer recommendations.
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently to guests.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, proactively addressing any concerns.
  • Clear and reset tables according to established standards.
  • Handle cash and card payments accurately and process transactions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including sidestations and service areas.
  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties as required.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a waitress or server in a restaurant setting (minimum 6 months)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • A positive attitude and a team-player mentality
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions
  • Fluency in English and Swahili

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management or a related field
