Key Responsibilities
- Accurately receive incoming shipments, verify quantities against purchase orders, and meticulously inspect goods for damage or discrepancies, reporting any issues promptly to supervisors.
- Safely and efficiently organize and store items in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper labeling and systematic arrangement to optimize space and facilitate easy retrieval.
- Meticulously pick products from stock based on order sheets, ensuring accuracy, and prepare them for dispatch by securely packing and labeling according to established company standards.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment at all times, strictly adhering to all health and safety regulations, including the proper handling of equipment and hazardous materials.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory counts, reconciling stock discrepancies, and contributing to basic inventory reports to ensure accurate stock levels are always maintained within the system.
- Provide essential support in the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles, utilizing appropriate manual handling techniques or basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks as required.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and efficiently after receiving proper training, ensuring all operational guidelines are followed.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and resolution of any operational challenges, contributing to a positive team atmosphere.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in tasks such as counting, labeling, and inspection.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading order sheets and performing simple calculations.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work independently as well as part of a team.
