In this pivotal role, you will be the backbone of efficient inventory management, ensuring seamless material flow and upholding the highest standards of accuracy. As the Warehouse Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the stock room, from receiving incoming shipments to organizing stock, fulfilling internal requests, and preparing items for dispatch. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily stock room operations, including receiving, storing, issuing, and dispatching materials and products.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and conduct regular cycle counts.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for damage and accuracy, resolving discrepancies with suppliers or purchasing department.
  • Organize and maintain the physical layout of the stock room for optimal efficiency, safety, and accessibility.
  • Prepare materials for various departments based on requisitions, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
  • Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) safely and efficiently.
  • Implement and adhere to all safety protocols and company policies within the stock room.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, production, and shipping departments to ensure smooth material flow.
  • Identify and report any stock discrepancies, damages, or quality issues.
  • Assist in the preparation of outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging and documentation.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse, stock room, or inventory management role.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel).
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Forklift certification (reach truck, sit-down, stand-up).
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory forecasting and demand planning principles.
