Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload company vehicles, ensuring proper handling and organization of packages.
- Operate delivery vehicles (vans/light trucks) safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Execute timely and accurate deliveries to customers across various locations in the Vancouver area.
- Verify order accuracy during loading and upon delivery, obtaining necessary signatures and documentation.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the warehouse and delivery vehicles.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers to resolve any delivery-related issues.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
- Assist with general warehouse duties such as picking, packing, sorting, and inventory management as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, representing Career.zycto professionally.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 British Columbia driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs frequently, and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment and delivery.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Basic communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability and a strong commitment to punctuality.
- Comfortable navigating various weather conditions and traffic in an urban setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or delivery role (even part-time or volunteer).
- Familiarity with Vancouver road networks and delivery routes.
- Basic computer literacy for using delivery tracking software.
- A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
