Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks, trailers, and other vehicles using appropriate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
- Sort and stage incoming and outgoing freight accurately based on destination, product type, and other criteria.
- Verify shipments against manifests or invoices to ensure accuracy and report any discrepancies or damages immediately.
- Operate and maintain a clean and organized dock area, adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Safely stack and store products in designated areas, optimizing space and accessibility.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth and efficient dock operations.
- Contribute to a safe work environment by following all established safety procedures and guidelines.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
