Key Responsibilities
- Assist forklift operators with loading, unloading, and staging materials within the warehouse.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other non-powered material handling equipment safely.
- Organize and stack goods according to warehouse layout and safety standards.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists and report discrepancies.
- Prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment (e.g., battery levels, general condition) and report malfunctions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including clearing aisles and work areas.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in inventory counts and contribute to accurate record-keeping.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and truck drivers.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a warehouse or industrial setting (minimum 6 months)
- Ability to safely operate manual pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly
