As a Warehouse Inventory Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining precise inventory records, conducting regular stock counts, and assisting with the receiving and dispatch of products. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and process incoming stock and materials, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventory counts, reconciling discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using a warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring correct items are picked, packed, and labeled.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely, such as pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified), to move goods.
  • Organize and maintain the warehouse in a neat, orderly, and safe condition.
  • Identify and report any damaged, missing, or faulty items immediately.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and resolve inventory issues.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety procedures and operational guidelines.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a warehouse or inventory control role.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, especially inventory software or data entry.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 25kg, standing, and walking for extended periods.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Forklift certification or experience operating other material handling equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in a warehouse environment.
