Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials and products efficiently and safely from trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined organizational standards.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments against invoices or manifests.
- Operate various material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, safely and proficiently.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on equipment, reporting any malfunctions or damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the warehouse, adhering to 5S principles.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as required.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve daily operational goals.
- Report any discrepancies or damage to goods immediately to the supervisor.
Required Skills
- Proven physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic warehouse environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to read labels and count items.
- Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience (6+ months) in a warehouse or logistics environment.
