Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Accurately sort, stack, and organize materials and products within designated warehouse locations using appropriate material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and hand trucks (training provided as needed).
- Prepare shipments for delivery by picking orders, accurately labeling, scanning, wrapping, and staging products for transportation.
- Perform regular inventory checks and assist in maintaining precise inventory records, reporting any discrepancies to supervisors.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety protocols, operating procedures, and OSHA regulations to maintain a secure and incident-free working environment.
- Immediately report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, product damage, or workplace incidents to management.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure seamless daily operations and achieve collective productivity and efficiency goals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times, including sweeping, consolidating products, and disposing of waste properly.
- Assist with other general warehouse duties and special projects as assigned by supervisors, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Proven physical stamina and endurance for standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to read labels, count items, and complete simple documentation.
- Strong work ethic and a proactive attitude towards tasks.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety guidelines.
- Excellent attendance record and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
