Job Description
We are urgently seeking a dedicated and physically fit Warehouse Loader to join our bustling team in Butha-Buthe. This critical full-time role is at the heart of our operations, ensuring the efficient movement of goods from our receiving bays to storage, and subsequently, preparing them for dispatch to our retail outlets. As a Warehouse Loader, you will be instrumental in maintaining the smooth flow of our supply chain, directly impacting our ability to stock shelves and serve our valued customers. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload delivery trucks, both manually and using appropriate material handling equipment.
- Sort and organize merchandise in the warehouse according to established procedures, ensuring proper inventory placement.
- Verify quantities against manifests and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages immediately.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely and proficiently, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised work area, ensuring aisles are clear and merchandise is securely stacked.
- Assist with stock counts and inventory checks as required.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational targets.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and health regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
Required Skills
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly (up to 25 kg).
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for counting and reading labels.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (at least 6 months) in a warehouse, logistics, or similar loading/unloading role.
- Experience operating pallet jacks or other material handling equipment.
- A valid driver's license (Code B or higher) may be an advantage.
