Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload a variety of goods and materials from vehicles, ensuring proper handling techniques are used to prevent damage.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklift trucks (if certified) safely and according to company guidelines.
- Verify product quantities against manifests and delivery notes, reporting any discrepancies immediately.
- Organise and stack products neatly and securely in designated warehouse areas.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment, adhering strictly to all health and safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as required.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and meet daily targets.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or damage.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, particularly in loading/unloading operations.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely and repeatedly.
- Strong understanding and adherence to health and safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in counting and verifying goods.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid forklift license (Counterbalance or Reach Truck).
- Previous experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- First Aid certification.
- A proactive attitude towards continuous improvement and problem-solving.
