Naivas Supermarket is seeking dedicated Warehouse Loaders to join our bustling logistics team in Nairobi. Key Responsibilities
- Manually load and unload goods, products, and materials from trucks, containers, and pallets with precision and care.
- Accurately sort, stack, and organize merchandise in designated warehouse locations according to company procedures and safety standards.
- Operate manual material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, safely and efficiently.
- Assist in the verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, checking for discrepancies and damages, and reporting them promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve daily operational goals and meet delivery schedules.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock rotation as required, contributing to accurate stock management.
- Ensure products are handled with utmost care to prevent damage, spoilage, and minimize waste throughout the handling process.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team atmosphere, fostering mutual respect and cooperation among colleagues.
- Adhere strictly to all company operational guidelines and quality control standards.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and strength to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly (up to 25 kg) for extended periods.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended durations in a warehouse environment.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate sorting, counting, and inventory handling.
- Basic literacy (ability to read and understand labels, instructions, and safety warnings).
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
- Commitment to workplace safety practices and adherence to all safety protocols.
- Reliability and punctuality in attendance and task completion.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (at least 6 months) in a warehouse, logistics, or manual labor role.
- Familiarity with basic warehouse operations and inventory management principles.
- Knowledge of basic material handling equipment and their safe operation.
- Secondary school education (KCSE or equivalent qualification) is an added advantage.
