Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload freight and cargo onto and from trucks, containers, and shelves using appropriate equipment and manual handling techniques.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments against manifests or other documentation.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and possibly forklifts (with certification).
- Organise and stack goods in designated warehouse areas, ensuring optimal space utilisation and easy accessibility.
- Conduct quality checks on products to identify and report any damages or discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment, adhering strictly to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Perform routine pre-shift checks on equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as required.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially regarding safety and operational guidelines.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods and checking documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented warehouse environment.
