Job Description
Zanzibar Logistics is seeking a diligent and physically capable Warehouse Loading Helper to join our dynamic team in Zanzibar City. This full-time, on-site role is critical to our operations, particularly in ensuring the smooth flow of goods destined for Bawe Island and other key locations. As a Warehouse Loading Helper, you will be an integral part of our logistics chain, responsible for the careful and efficient loading, unloading, and organization of various products within our bustling warehouse facility. Your daily tasks will include assisting in the receipt of incoming shipments, meticulously preparing outgoing orders for dispatch, and working collaboratively with your team to maintain a safe and orderly work environment. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks consistently throughout the day. You will play a crucial role in preventing damage to goods, ensuring accurate inventory, and ultimately contributing to the timely and reliable delivery services that our clients depend on. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the loading and unloading of goods from delivery trucks, containers, and other transport vehicles.
- Carefully move and stack products in designated warehouse areas, ensuring proper organization and space utilization.
- Verify quantities and types of goods received against invoices or packing lists, reporting any discrepancies.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items accurately according to order specifications.
- Operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (training will be provided if necessary).
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness within the warehouse, including sweeping, tidying, and waste disposal.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as required.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and drivers to ensure smooth workflow and timely dispatches.
- Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25 kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods and verifying counts.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to read labels and count items.

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a warehouse, logistics, or similar physical labor environment (6 months to 1 year).
- Familiarity with basic warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks).
- Knowledge of Swahili and English language.
