Job Description

Lesotho Post is seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Operator to join our growing team in Mokobeng, Qacha’s Nek. This is a crucial role within our logistics and distribution network, ensuring the smooth and accurate flow of goods and parcels that connect communities across Lesotho. As a Warehouse Operator, you will be instrumental in the daily operations of our Mokobeng facility, handling incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining precise inventory records, and contributing to a safe, clean, and highly organized working environment. Your meticulous attention to detail and strong work ethic will directly impact our ability to deliver essential postal and parcel services to the residents of Mokobeng and surrounding areas, ensuring timely and reliable delivery. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming shipments, verifying contents against manifests and purchase orders.
  • Efficiently sort, label, and store goods in designated warehouse locations, ensuring optimal space utilization.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments according to delivery schedules and established procedures.
  • Operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering strictly to health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in reconciling discrepancies.
  • Assist with loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring proper handling of all items.
  • Report any damaged goods, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards immediately.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize warehouse operations and processes.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to read, write, and understand instructions in English.
  • Basic numeracy skills for counting, measuring, and record-keeping.
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25 kg) regularly.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (1+ year) in a warehouse, logistics, or similar operational environment.
  • Knowledge of basic inventory management principles.
  • Experience operating forklift or similar material handling equipment (certification a plus).
  • Familiarity with postal or courier service operations.
