Job Description
Lesotho Post is seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Operator to join our growing team in Mokobeng, Qacha’s Nek. This is a crucial role within our logistics and distribution network, ensuring the smooth and accurate flow of goods and parcels that connect communities across Lesotho. As a Warehouse Operator, you will be instrumental in the daily operations of our Mokobeng facility, handling incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining precise inventory records, and contributing to a safe, clean, and highly organized working environment. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming shipments, verifying contents against manifests and purchase orders.
- Efficiently sort, label, and store goods in designated warehouse locations, ensuring optimal space utilization.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments according to delivery schedules and established procedures.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering strictly to health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in reconciling discrepancies.
- Assist with loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring proper handling of all items.
- Report any damaged goods, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards immediately.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize warehouse operations and processes.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven ability to read, write, and understand instructions in English.
- Basic numeracy skills for counting, measuring, and record-keeping.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25 kg) regularly.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (1+ year) in a warehouse, logistics, or similar operational environment.
