Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate pallet jacks (manual and electric) and other material handling equipment to load and unload goods.
- Stack, organize, and secure pallets in designated warehouse areas following company standards and safety protocols.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments against manifests and inventory records.
- Inspect freight for damage and report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock rotation as required to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational targets and deadlines.
- Participate in ongoing training and safety refreshers as provided by the company.
Required Skills
- Ability to consistently lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) throughout a shift.
- Demonstrated ability to operate manual and electric pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in inventory handling and documentation.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations, receiving, and shipping procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
- Physical stamina and endurance for a demanding, active role.
- Reliable, punctual, and possess a strong commitment to work ethic and safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift operator certification (e.g., Counterbalance, Reach Truck, Order Picker).
