Shoprite in Ha Rasekila, Leribe, is seeking dedicated Warehouse Pickers to join our essential distribution team. In this pivotal role, you will be at the heart of our operations, responsible for accurately and efficiently picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for dispatch. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick and pack products according to customer orders and established procedures.
  • Efficiently load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
  • Perform routine quality checks on products and packaging before dispatch.
  • Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation, counting, and reconciliation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the warehouse.
  • Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and effectively, if certified.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity targets and operational goals.
  • Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to the warehouse supervisor promptly.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects frequently (up to 25kg).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic mathematical skills for counting and inventory checks.
  • Excellent reliability and punctuality.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience (at least 6 months) in a warehouse, logistics, or similar environment.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software.
  • Certification to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment (an advantage).
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
