Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to picking lists and specific customer requirements, ensuring minimal errors.
- Assist with the efficient loading and unloading of delivery vehicles, using proper techniques to prevent damage to goods.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse floor, ensuring cleanliness, tidiness, and optimal space utilization for easy access and safety.
- Safely operate basic warehouse equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks, adhering to all operational guidelines.
- Perform routine inventory checks, promptly report any discrepancies, and assist in maintaining accurate stock records through designated systems.
- Collaborate effectively with the logistics and dispatch teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment, meeting daily targets.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety regulations, procedures, and health guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Assist in labeling, sorting, and relocating items within the warehouse as needed, and perform other general warehouse duties to support the team.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move objects up to 25kg comfortably and repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in order picking, packing, and stock handling.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading picking lists, counting stock, and completing simple forms.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced warehouse setting, often under time constraints.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a diverse team.
- Proven reliability, punctuality, and a strong, proactive work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (at least 6 months) in a warehouse, logistics, or similar operational environment.
- Familiarity with basic inventory management principles and procedures, including first-in, first-out (FIFO) methods.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and best practices, with a commitment to maintaining a safe workspace.
- Certificate or diploma in logistics, supply chain management, or a related vocational field is considered an asset.
