Career.zycto is actively seeking enthusiastic and reliable Warehouse Picking Helpers to join our team in Fairview, Halifax. As a Warehouse Picking Helper, you will be an integral part of our logistics operation, responsible for accurately and efficiently picking and preparing orders for shipment. This is a physically active role that requires attention to detail and a proactive approach. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack products according to order sheets, ensuring correct quantities and items.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Perform quality checks on products before packaging to ensure they meet standards.
- Organize and maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Load and unload delivery trucks when required.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding order status or issues.
- Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic comprehension of English for reading order forms and safety instructions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jack, forklift certification is a bonus).
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
