Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments, verifying quantities against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Identify and report discrepancies, damages, or shortages of goods immediately upon receipt.
- Accurately sort, label, and store received items in designated warehouse locations.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, such as pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified), to move and organize materials.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the receiving area.
- Assist with inventory counts and participate in cycle counting procedures as required.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff and departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely processing of goods.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper handling of materials and equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse operations.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in verifying shipments and documentation.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and inventory management systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
