As a Warehouse Shipper, you will be at the heart of our supply chain, responsible for managing the receiving, storage, and dispatch of a wide variety of goods, ranging from fresh produce to general merchandise. You will play a crucial part in maintaining inventory accuracy by meticulously checking incoming shipments against orders, documenting discrepancies, and ensuring proper rotation of stock to minimize waste. Your daily tasks will involve safely unloading delivery trucks, accurately sorting and shelving items, picking and preparing orders for internal transfers or customer collection, and ensuring all outgoing shipments are correctly packed and labelled. Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments, verifying contents against invoices and purchase orders for accuracy.
- Unload delivery trucks safely and efficiently, using appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, trolleys).
- Sort, label, and store inventory in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper organisation and accessibility.
- Conduct regular stock counts and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring items are correct, well-protected, and ready for transit.
- Load outgoing shipments onto delivery vehicles in a safe and timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) in a safe and responsible manner.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to the Warehouse Supervisor promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals and maintain high levels of productivity.
- Assist with inventory audits and cycle counts as required.
