Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records using our warehouse management system (WMS).
- Perform regular stock counts (cycle counts and periodic inventories) and reconcile discrepancies.
- Investigate root causes of inventory variances and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and organization of all warehouse stock.
- Collaborate with purchasing, receiving, and shipping departments to optimize stock flow.
- Monitor incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
- Generate regular inventory reports for management, highlighting trends and potential issues.
- Identify and report slow-moving, damaged, or obsolete stock.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and quality standards within the warehouse.
- Assist in the development and improvement of inventory control procedures.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Clerk, or similar role in a warehouse environment.
- Strong proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving items as required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
- German language proficiency (B2 or higher) due to local operations and team communication.
- Valid forklift operator license (advantageous, but training can be provided).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems for inventory modules.
- Knowledge of Lean principles or Six Sigma methodologies in a warehouse setting.
- Fluency in English (in addition to German) for international supply chain interactions.
- A track record of identifying and implementing inventory process improvements.
