Job Description

Shoprite is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Supervisor for an immediate start at our bustling Lithabaneng facility in Maseru. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods from receiving to dispatch, and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be instrumental in managing inventory, coordinating a team of warehouse staff, and implementing best practices to optimize our supply chain processes. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage inventory control, including regular stock takes, cycle counts, and reconciliation.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Monitor and evaluate warehouse productivity, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, ensuring proper handling and care.
- Prepare daily and weekly reports on warehouse activities, inventory levels, and staff performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Handle returns and discrepancies, resolving issues promptly and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local regulations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role for at least 2 years.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- A diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Valid forklift operator's license.
- Experience in the retail or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sector.
- Knowledge of local Maseru logistics and distribution networks.
