Your primary mission will be instrumental in maintaining precise stock levels, preventing discrepancies, and coordinating the seamless, timely picking, packing, and dispatch of goods to meet demanding customer expectations. This includes ensuring full compliance with all company policies, industry regulations, and health and safety standards. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of products within the warehouse, from inbound receiving to outbound shipping, ensuring that all processes are streamlined and efficient. We are looking for an individual with a profound understanding of modern warehouse management systems (WMS) and a demonstrable track record in a supervisory capacity within a fast-paced logistics, distribution, or e-commerce fulfillment setting. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Manage and motivate a team of warehouse operatives, providing training, feedback, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure accurate inventory control through regular cycle counts and reconciliation processes.
- Implement and maintain robust dispatch procedures to ensure timely and accurate shipments.
- Utilise Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory, process orders, and generate reports.
- Monitor and optimise warehouse layout, space utilisation, and equipment functionality.
- Uphold high standards of health, safety, and hygiene within the warehouse.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., procurement, customer service) to ensure seamless workflow.
- Conduct quality control checks on incoming and outgoing goods.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
