Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load grocery totes and other merchandise onto pallets, skids, or directly into trailers, optimizing space and ensuring stability.
- Verify product quantities and types against shipping manifests or order sheets to ensure accuracy.
- Operate manual and electric pallet jacks safely and effectively to move materials within the warehouse.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and equipment operation guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to overall warehouse safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily loading targets and operational goals.
- Conduct pre-shift checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with other general warehouse duties as required to support distribution operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repetitively throughout a shift.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate loading and product handling.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding warehouse environment.
- Basic literacy skills to read labels, instructions, and shipping documents.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to attendance.
- Excellent team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics setting.
- Experience operating manual and electric pallet jacks.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
