Key Responsibilities
- Assist primary waste collection operators with the loading and unloading of refuse, recycling, and organic waste materials from residential and commercial bins.
- Operate refuse compactors and other equipment safely under supervision.
- Navigate collection routes efficiently, adhering to established schedules and safety guidelines.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of collection vehicles and equipment, reporting any deficiencies.
- Ensure proper placement and secure closure of waste containers after collection.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and environmental guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding daily operations and potential issues.
- Maintain cleanliness of collection vehicles and equipment.
- Assist with manual lifting and maneuvering of heavy items as required.
- Represent Career.zycto professionally while interacting with the public, upholding a positive company image.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly (up to 50 lbs)
- Strong physical stamina and endurance for extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting in various weather conditions
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Basic communication skills to interact with team and supervisors
- A valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record (preferred, but not strictly required for support role)
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

- Previous experience in waste collection, general labour, or a similar physically demanding role
- Knowledge of local waste management regulations and best practices
