Key Responsibilities
- Collect and transport waste and recyclable materials along established routes in Manching and surrounding areas.
- Operate specialized waste collection vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Ensure proper sorting and segregation of different waste types (e.g., general waste, organic waste, recyclables) as per local guidelines.
- Assist with loading and unloading waste materials at designated transfer stations or disposal sites.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned vehicles, equipment, and work areas.
- Interact professionally and courteously with residents and the public.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly (up to 25 kg).
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail.
- Commitment to adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Basic communication skills in German or English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid German driving license Class C (or C1) for commercial vehicles/trucks.
- Previous experience in waste management, sanitation, or a similar physically demanding role.
- Knowledge of local waste management regulations and separation guidelines in Bavaria.
- First Aid certification.
- Experience operating hydraulic lifting equipment.
