Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine chemical and microbiological testing of water samples.
- Monitor, operate, and maintain water treatment plant equipment, including pumps, filters, and chemical dosing systems.
- Adjust chemical dosages and treatment processes to ensure water quality meets regulatory standards.
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical components.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutions to ensure continuous plant performance.
- Maintain accurate records of water quality data, plant operations, and maintenance activities.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies as required.
- Participate in on-call rotations for emergency response outside of regular hours.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Water Treatment Technician or similar role.
- Strong understanding of water treatment processes and technologies.
- Proficiency in chemical testing and interpretation of results.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults.
- Excellent adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Valid UK Driving License.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Water Operations or a relevant engineering discipline.

- Experience with SCADA systems or other process control software.
- Knowledge of Legionella control and other relevant water hygiene regulations.
