Job Description
We are seeking a talented and passionate Web Designer with expertise in Frontend Development, User Interface (UI), and User Flow to join our innovative team in Graves Park, Sheffield. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for translating complex requirements into intuitive, engaging, and accessible digital experiences. This role demands a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of design principles, and proficiency in front-end technologies to bring your visions to life. You will collaborate closely with product managers, back-end developers, and other stakeholders to define, design, and implement user interfaces across various web platforms and applications. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop intuitive, engaging, and user-friendly interfaces for web applications, ensuring an optimal user experience.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and sitemaps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience.
- Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.
- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
- Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback to enhance and iterate on designs.
- Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies.
- Present and defend designs and key deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in graphic design and wireframing tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Demonstrable UI/UX design skills with a strong portfolio.
- Experience creating responsive designs and cross-browser compatibility.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design (UCD) principles.
- Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
- Up-to-date with the latest Web trends, techniques, and technologies.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
