Goblin Hill Villas at San San is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Part-Time Wedding Decorator to bring our clients’ most cherished visions to life. Based in the picturesque Hope Bay, Portland Parish, you will play a pivotal role in designing, setting up, and dismantling decor for a variety of wedding ceremonies and receptions hosted at our beautiful venues or partner locations within the parish. This role demands a blend of artistic flair, practical execution skills, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
As our Wedding Decorator, you will work closely with couples, event planners, and our in-house team to understand specific themes, color schemes, and aesthetic preferences. Your responsibilities will span from conceptualization and mood board creation to sourcing decor elements, floral arrangements, lighting, linens, and props. On event days, you will be instrumental in ensuring every decorative element is impeccably placed, creating an atmosphere that is both breathtaking and reflective of the couple’s personality. Post-event, you will supervise or assist with the efficient and careful teardown and storage of all decor items. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients and event planners to understand wedding themes, color palettes, and stylistic preferences.
- Develop creative decor concepts, mood boards, and detailed proposals for various wedding events.
- Source, procure, and manage inventory of decor items, including floral arrangements, lighting, drapery, linens, centerpieces, and props.
- Oversee and actively participate in the setup and installation of all decorative elements on-site, ensuring adherence to design plans and timelines.
- Coordinate with vendors for rental items and specialized decor needs, ensuring timely delivery and collection.
- Maintain high standards of aesthetic quality and attention to detail throughout the entire decor process.
- Supervise or assist with the efficient and careful dismantling and packing of all decor items post-event.
- Manage decor budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Stay updated on current wedding decor trends, materials, and techniques.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in wedding or event decoration and design.
