Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support weekend care assistants, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Oversee the delivery of person-centred care, ensuring adherence to care plans and company standards.
  • Manage weekend scheduling and cover arrangements for care staff.
  • Respond to urgent client needs and emergencies, making informed decisions.
  • Conduct regular quality checks and audits to maintain high standards of care.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, families, and care staff during weekends.
  • Assist in the development and review of individual care plans.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of care activities and incidents.
  • Promote client independence, dignity, and choice at all times.
  • Uphold health and safety policies and CQC regulations.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a care setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a care role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in administering medication safely and accurately.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and calm.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Experience with complex care needs.
  • Knowledge of local safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Proficiency with care planning software/systems.
