Job Description
Are you eager to kickstart a rewarding career in a hands-on trade? Career.zycto, a dynamic and growing fabrication company located in the vibrant Downtown Riverfront area of Detroit, is actively seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Welder Apprentice to join our skilled team. This is an unparalleled entry-level opportunity for individuals with a passion for metalwork, a strong mechanical aptitude, and an unwavering commitment to learning and craftsmanship.
As a Welder Apprentice, you will embark on a structured journey to master the art and science of welding under the direct guidance of our seasoned professionals. This isn’t just a job; it’s a comprehensive training program designed to transform your potential into expertise. You’ll gain practical, on-the-job experience across a variety of welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, working with different materials and on diverse projects that serve a broad range of industries. Our environment fosters continuous learning, where questions are encouraged, and mentorship is at the core of our training philosophy.
Your daily tasks will involve assisting senior welders with material preparation – cutting, grinding, and cleaning various metal components to ensure they are ready for precise welds. You’ll learn to safely operate and maintain an array of welding equipment and power tools, understanding the nuances of each to achieve superior results. A critical component of your apprenticeship will be developing the ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols, translating design specifications into tangible, high-quality fabrications. Safety is paramount at Career.zycto, and you will be rigorously trained in all our safety protocols, ensuring a secure working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
This role demands a keen eye for detail, a steady hand, and a proactive attitude. You will inspect your work and contribute to quality control, learning to identify and rectify imperfections. Beyond technical skills, you’ll develop problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and a strong work ethic—qualities essential for long-term success in the metal fabrication industry. If you are ready to roll up your sleeves, absorb knowledge, and build a lasting career where your skills are valued and continuously refined, then we invite you to apply and forge your future with Career.zycto in the heart of Detroit’s industrial landscape.
