Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Wellsite Supervisor to oversee and manage drilling, completion, and workover operations at our well sites. As a Wellsite Supervisor, you will be the primary point of contact on-site, responsible for ensuring that all activities adhere to planned objectives, company policies, and regulatory requirements. You will coordinate and supervise third-party contractors, optimize operational workflows, and troubleshoot any issues that arise, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all wellsite operations, including drilling, completions, and workovers, ensuring strict adherence to HSE standards and operational plans.
  • Monitor daily progress of well operations, ensuring compliance with drilling programs, completion designs, and company policies.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses (JHAs) to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Manage and optimize equipment, materials, and personnel utilization to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Liaise effectively with engineers, contractors, and service providers to ensure seamless execution of well programs.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues promptly, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and prevent delays.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and records of all wellsite activities, including safety incidents, equipment performance, and resource consumption.
  • Ensure environmental regulations are strictly followed and participate in incident investigation and reporting.
  • Review and approve invoices from contractors and service providers, verifying services rendered and material usage.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff and ensure continuous development of the on-site team.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Wellsite Supervisor or similar field leadership role in the oil and gas industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of drilling, completion, and workover operations, equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Strong understanding of HSE regulations and best practices specific to wellsite operations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in operational planning, problem-solving, and decision-making under pressure.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote and challenging field environment for extended periods.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various wellsite locations.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., IWCF, IADC Well Control, BOSIET).
  • Familiarity with digital reporting systems and wellsite management software.
  • Proficiency in German is a significant advantage.
  • Experience working in a multicultural team environment.
