Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance on various types of wind turbines.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults efficiently.
- Execute corrective repairs and facilitate component replacements, often at height and in challenging conditions.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and operational guidelines.
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and fault reports accurately using digital systems.
- Utilize specialized tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic software for turbine analysis and optimization.
- Participate in on-call rotations for emergency repairs and urgent service requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with engineering, operations teams, and external contractors for continuous improvement.
- Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of work areas, company vehicles, and equipment.
- Conduct thorough safety briefings and risk assessments prior to commencing any work.
Required Skills
- Vocational degree or apprenticeship (e.g., Elektroniker, Mechatroniker, Industriemechaniker) or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in wind turbine maintenance or heavy industrial machinery.
- Proven proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret complex technical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Valid driver's license (Class B or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
- Current GWO (Global Wind Organisation) certifications (Working at Height, First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness).
- Strong commitment to safety, adherence to protocols, and risk assessment abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a field-based team.
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Further certifications or specialized training in specific turbine models (e.g., Siemens Gamesa, Vestas, Enercon).
- Experience with SCADA systems for turbine monitoring and remote diagnostics.
- German language proficiency (B2 level or higher) to communicate effectively with local teams and clients.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills using PLC diagnostics.
- Prior experience in a field service role with a focus on customer satisfaction.
