As a Window Installation Technician, you will be responsible for the precise measurement, preparation, and installation of various types of windows (including uPVC, aluminum, and wooden frames) in residential and commercial properties across Homa Bay County. You will work independently or as part of a small team, ensuring that all installations meet both company standards and client expectations, adhering strictly to safety regulations and building codes. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct precise measurements of window openings to ensure accurate fitting.
- Prepare installation sites, including removal of old windows and debris.
- Install various types of windows (uPVC, aluminum, wooden) in accordance with specifications and safety standards.
- Apply sealants, insulation, and flashing to ensure weather-tight and energy-efficient installations.
- Perform necessary adjustments and finishing touches to ensure proper functionality and aesthetic appeal.
- Conduct quality checks on completed installations to ensure high standards are met.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding the installation process, timelines, and any potential issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and local building codes.
- Handle and transport tools and materials safely and efficiently.
- Provide basic on-site client training or advice on window maintenance as needed.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in window installation, including various types of frames and glass.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
