As a Windows System Administrator at Career.zycto, you will dive deep into a complex ecosystem of Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022), Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange Server, and Office 365. Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and support Windows Server operating systems (2016, 2019, 2022) and related services.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and other core infrastructure services.
  • Perform regular system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning to ensure optimal operation.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices, including patching, vulnerability management, and access controls.
  • Manage and support virtualized environments, primarily Hyper-V, and assist with VMware where applicable.
  • Administer Office 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams) and hybrid deployments.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation of routine administrative tasks and system deployments.
  • Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for Windows-related issues, acting as an escalation point.
  • Participate in IT projects, including infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and new system deployments.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure data backup and recovery strategies are effective and regularly tested.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience with Windows Server administration (2016/2019/2022)
  • Strong expertise in Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V required, VMware a plus)
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, VLANs)
  • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery methodologies
  • Familiarity with Office 365 administration
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate
  • Experience with Azure cloud services (IaaS, PaaS)
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., SCCM, Ansible)
  • German language proficiency (B1 or higher)
