Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and support Windows Server operating systems (2016, 2019, 2022) and related services.
- Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and other core infrastructure services.
- Perform regular system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning to ensure optimal operation.
- Implement and maintain security best practices, including patching, vulnerability management, and access controls.
- Manage and support virtualized environments, primarily Hyper-V, and assist with VMware where applicable.
- Administer Office 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams) and hybrid deployments.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation of routine administrative tasks and system deployments.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for Windows-related issues, acting as an escalation point.
- Participate in IT projects, including infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and new system deployments.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and operational efficiency.
- Ensure data backup and recovery strategies are effective and regularly tested.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with Windows Server administration (2016/2019/2022)
- Strong expertise in Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation
- Experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V required, VMware a plus)
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, VLANs)
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery methodologies
- Familiarity with Office 365 administration
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate
- Experience with Azure cloud services (IaaS, PaaS)
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., SCCM, Ansible)
- German language proficiency (B1 or higher)
