Job Description
VSI Global is seeking highly skilled and detail-oriented individuals to join our growing team as a Work from Home Video Captioning Partner. As a Captioning Partner, you will be responsible for creating precise, synchronized, and grammatically correct captions for a diverse range of video content, including films, TV series, documentaries, corporate videos, and more. Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio dialogue accurately and comprehensively for various video content.
- Create synchronized captions, ensuring precise timing with on-screen dialogue and relevant sound effects.
- Adhere strictly to client-specific style guides, technical specifications, and industry best practices for captioning.
- Review and proofread captions for grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, punctuation, and overall linguistic quality.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks to meet strict deadlines.
- Utilise specialised captioning software and tools efficiently (training may be provided for specific platforms).
- Maintain consistent communication with project managers regarding project status and any challenges encountered.
- Ensure confidentiality and data security for all assigned projects.
- Continuously learn and adapt to evolving captioning technologies and industry standards.
Required Skills
- Native-level fluency in English with exceptional grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
- Proven experience in transcription, captioning, or subtitling.
- Excellent listening comprehension and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using a computer and comfortable with various software applications.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain high quality standards under minimal supervision.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a suitable home office environment.
